Bad News Bears

Well, so much for my plans. I just got home from my doctor's appointment. No progress. We are going to induce next week if nothing happens by then. I have to choose my child's birthday. Lame. I think we will go with April 2nd to give him a few days to come on his own. Also, I have Group B Strep. Why did it take them three weeks to tell me this? I have no idea. This means I get to have antibiotics administered every four hours while I am in labor. I have to walk around with an IV pole. Yay. Woot. So, I need all the prayers I can get that I will go into labor on my own before I have to be induced. Please help...

Good luck! Sorry to hear about the group b strep. I am sure the hospital will take good care of you and baby! Try to go as long as you can without being induced, both of my boys were a week late, and it was horrible! But I am glad now that they came on their own. Again, good luck with everything and the offer is still good anytime you want to come up this way for some pics!

Chelsea,

I know there are some horror stories about being induced, but not everyone has that experience. If the baby doesn't decide to come on his own, being induced may not be as bad as you are imagining. Emily was induced and it really wasn't too bad. Especially for a gal like you who is strong willed. You'd do great. I'm not saying that you would rather do it this way, just if it does happen, it will probably be just fine. We'll be looking to hear how everything is going. :)

so sorry. contractions on pit are bad. bad. i hope he comes on his own and you have the birth experience you want. cindy did it, and she had a good experience. talk to ivie about the grp B if you haven't already, there are some things you'll want to be prepared for so that you don't end up with her nightmare. I'll be praying for you!

All I am going to say is that having one birth started by water breaking and the other started by being induced, I'm okay with not having the "pee the pants" feeling at 2 a.m. then walking in it. :)

I love you and you are always in my prayers!
