Bishy

Last Monday we took George to the pet store for family night and let him pick out two goldfish. This was his reward for being fully potty-trained. He picked out an ugly black/brown one and I picked a pretty orange and black one. "Onge" died the next day. "Bwack" lasted another 24 hours. So, on Saturday, we went back and bought a more hearty fish. We got a betta. He is so pretty! George has not named him yet so he is still just "bish" or "bishy". He is a pretty blue and red. They are supposed to live at least one to two years. Here's hoping he's still around next week!

3 Months!

Ollie L is 3 months old today! He is a smiley baby. He is always happy unless hungry. I am so glad I haven't had to deal with colic or acid reflux with either kid. He still has all of his hair and it is getting longer. He has gotten some chub on his bones but he's not a chubby baby. I tend to have average-sized babies. He wakes up once, usually around 5 am but sometimes as early as 2. But then he eats and goes right back to sleep until 8 or so. I haven't had to supplement at all which is a huge blessing for me. George loves being a big brother. He is constantly giving hugs and kisses and making sure the baby is happy. He likes to tickle him, too, but we have to keep a close eye on that...

George is fully potty trained. He hasn't had an accident in over a week and he tells us when he needs to go, for both kinds of potty.... He wears underwear both day and night and I am thoroughly enjoying this. He has started to say, "Welcome" for "You're welcome" which I love.

Our new nephew, Cal Owens Gardner, was born this week! We will get to meet him in August when I walk for graduation at BYU. I can't wait!

FHE

We have not been the best when it comes to regularly scheduled family nights. We spend 24 hours a day together so sometimes it doesn't feel necessary. But lately I have wanted to make sure we make an effort just for the blessings of being obedient and instilling in George and Ollie a sense of tradition. Last week we all make french bread pizzas together and George got to put his toppings on. Then we sangs songs around the piano (this is a must every FHE). Tonight we went bowling. We went before dinner so we could come home, eat dinner, sing and then relax. It was so much fun! Last time we took George to a bowling alley he didn't want to sit still and he didn't want to stay by us. He wanted to be every where else. This time he loved it! He wanted it to be his turn all the time. But he figured out that he had to take turns. We played one game together. Then I needed to feed the baby so George played his own game with Glen's help. He just keep throwing his ball down the lane and yelling, "Again, again!". We will be repeating this family activity! Here are some pictures of the last game:
These were taken with my phone because my camera battery charger is missing. It's always something....

He had a pink ball that he could carry but when he was too impatient to wait for the ball return he tried to get this one on his own

He loved the little ball chute

Getting ready to push the ball!
